Beers Of The Beano - Friday 23 February 2024

A late start Beano #mb03 to Hereford. Starting in the Orange Tree on King Street, a Black Country Ales House with a great selection of Cask Ales and wonderful filled rolls. It’s a great place to spend your Friday lunchtimes.

There’s TVs with the Beer selection on too, also fast non captive portal WiFi.

Don’t Give A Ruck - Facer’s - 4.5% ABV. B+ and a bit, light, malty, citrus and hoppy. Lingering fruity, bitter finish #ale #beer #bier 

3.3/5. Back in The Orange Tree, Hereford for #mb03 Welsh Ale with another Rugby related theme. Filled rolls for lunch.

England’s Glory - Hogs Back - 4.4% ABV. B+ and a bit, malty and rich with a hint of orange fruit. Fruity, bitter finish #ale #beer #bier 

3.3/5. Also very Rugby 🏉 related. This time from England which is just as well as I’m in England #Hereford #mb03 

Then onto The Beer In Hand, which Swarm App told me that I haven’t been there since August 2021.

An excellent selection of all types and dispense methods of Beer and Cider.

Small Pale Ale Mosaic Galaxy - The Kernel - 4.2% ABV. B++, on the case. Sharp, hoppy, fruity and pleasingly bitter. Bottle conditioned #ale #beer #bier 

3.5/5. Lower in alcohol, higher in quality. Bottle conditioned and very worthwhile hunting down. Beer in Hand #Hereford #mb03

If only the Beer in Hand had longer opening hours, however, that’s the same for most Micros.
